I think its not very nice....

I think the Chinese lunar hungry ghost festival and Mooncake festival are not here yet. However, I saw quite a few places started selling mooncakes already. Hmmmm....I am very traditional one. I will not eat mooncakes or give mooncakes to my friends during the hungry ghost festival.

嫦娥姐姐 confused.... too...... Not meaningful anymore.

Alas, 100% agree with u, Bryan Laoshi.

Likewise lsst year, they started selling the Chinese New Year goodies and deco even b4 Christmas was on the way.

Long time ago, we hv to wait a whole year just to taste the F&N orange squash and eat the steamed chicken. And for as long as I could remember, they tasted so yummy. Chinese New Year was so FUN then.

Nowadays, every single day, 24/7 also can reach out for these food.
Once things are so easily available, it is no longer special.

Well, who knows....maybe in the near future, all festive goodies and deco are available anytime and everywhere. When the festival arrives, there is nothing special to celebrate.

I think we need to come out with new ideas like :
. Happy Vegetarian Day
(no killing of animals on that
day; only eat vege & fruits)
. Happy Maids' Day
. Happy Sibblings' Day
- Happy Casino Day(above 21yrs old)
etc..

Cheers,
Chris

Well said! Let me throw in another day.
SAVE ELECTRICITY DAY. Too many glaring lightings and too many air condition place in spore. Do we really need so many lighting along orchard road?? Is it necessary to have air con in interchange?
I think human should reflect and start contributing our part to save the mother earth.

Bryan, I also agreed with u. It serves little meaning when the actual festival arrived.

HiHi

I totally agree wif Margret & Chris.
We should ve all this new ideas..
This"self create" days is needed for all of us as citylanders all like to face computers 24/7. We lack love, communication & awareness for earth. And let's add one "Sunrise" day. To watch/enjoy the rising of sun early morning. It feels soo gd.

Bryan laoshi, u are very humourous.
嫦娥姐姐 confused by the early sales of mooncakes! hahaa

If only every human being can be more eco friendly. Be more aware on our usage of water and electricity, be it at home, public places or office.

Some of my colleagues feel its ok not to turn off the computer because it is more convenient to on only the monitor the next day. Saving money is not their concern because it is the company's utility bills. I think this is a very common and wrong thinking.

I have been thinking for the longest time why do they build an air condition bus interchange. Things are getting more convenient and comfortable for us at the expense of Mother earth.
