Can you tell the difference between wild american ginseng and the farm grown one

I think most of us know about American Ginseng (泡参). However, many people may not know why some cost $25-$40 a packet while some cost $200 a packet. WHY ? WHY ? What is the difference? A search on the Internet may not give you the answer too. If you are not cautious, some may sell you $40 type at $200.
I have to thank my Master who taught me how to identify and differentiate American Ginseng that costs $200 American ginseng with those that costs $25. But hey, it doesn't mean the ones that cost $25 is useless.....

$25 to $40 一两 : Farm grown. It is good for energy, general tiredness and has some cooling effects on body system. Its a good remedy for all body types. However, it may not be suitable for people with very weak body types.

$200 一两: Wild ones; grown in the wild mountain. It is good for all body systems especially weak cooling body type . Some people may develop skin hives after drinking normal American Ginseng. This is due to blood too cooling which causes the problems. Thus, a body type with 虚 Qi need to take care of what you eat.

How to identify which ginseng is farm grown and which is wild ones? Hhahahahaa. Only through your sense of smell.
Allow me to share this tips of smelling wild ginseng in "Health and Beauty with Bryan" Part 1 in April 2010. If you are totally new to me or have not attended this workshop, do come. I really hope to see you there :)
