Doctor Kong

Let me slowly introduced everyone here on traditional thai medicine:> But we must know some of the history....

One of the best known commoner physicians was " Doctor Kong" who became a hospital physician in 1893. His knowledge and reputaqtion in healing was recognised by the King who assigned him to combat the cholera epidemic in the countryside. His success earned him the royal title of Phraya Pitsanu Prasartved.

He had vast vision in education. While he was fighting the epidemic in the riral areas, he becomae aware of lack of standard medical tetx. So he set up a task to complete in 1907 on royal medicinal text. This text has been used by all health care practitioners and has been standard for thai tranditional medicine since that time.
