According to Chinese Medicine, the heart not only propels blood but also governs your spirit. Your ability to open to love is called shen, the spirit of the heart.

When you have shen, your body is in balance and harmony; you are able to make wise, life-enchancing choices.

Acupressure, when practised with deep breathing, stretching, and proper nutrition, helps you achieve shen.

Emotional numbness commonly occurs from the overwhelming stress of a busy life. Multiple distractions, not paying attention to your body, being in your head, and ignoring feelings can all result in numbness. A stressful environment constricts your muscles, shut off circulation, and further depletes your energy.
